Rep Rap 3D Printing Blood Vessel Networks
A major challenge in tissue engineering is the integration of blood vessels among cells to uniformly supply them with nutrients. Researchers from University of Pennsylvania and MIT just reported in journal Nature Materials the ability to print 3D filament networks that may serve the role of vessels in the future. They implemented the open source RepRap 3D printer with a few of their own changes, including a customized extruder and control software.

Wikileaks releases the Syria Files, a new batch of over 2.4 million confidential emails
Wikileaks has released yet another batch of data. Known as #Syriafiles, the release was also announced during a press conference at London’s Frontline club today.
As their name says, these files focus on Syrian politics. According to Wikileaks, the Syria Files include 2.4 million documents, including over 2 million emails from Syrian political figures, ministries and associated companies, dating from August 2006 to March 2012.
